Surprise!!

This past 2 weeks, I have been walking before breakfast and added the hula-hoop. I was surprised this weekend when I had lost 10.5 pounds and tried on smaller sizes and they FIT! YAY!  I love using the app on my phone to help me track my calorie intake and my workouts.
I know what works for me, I just have to stick to it. I am allowing myself to 'cheat' a little. When I want a cookie, I eat a Kashi cookie..YUM!!! Dark chocolate chips, oatmeal and grains..high fiber.

What's going on?

Well, since I've started walking, I have logged 47.9 miles with the new app. Watching every thing I eat, logging every thing. It takes a commitment. WHEW!
I have been overweight for a long time. It didn't happen overnight, and I won't take it off overnight.
There is no magic pill...it's calories out have to be more than calories in. It's that simple, no drugs, no special foods, no shakes..just eating in the right combination and good old fashioned exercise. Less sugar and fat, more grains and veggies and low fat meats. Oh and NO MORE COKES AT ALL!! Not even diet! Water and tea with out sugar.
